dGEN’s NFT Top 10 Countdown – 21/07/2022
My NFT Top 10 is as of this week and could change next week. These are all projects I track closely through my narrow NFT window, no one can track it all! They run the gamut from low, to mid, to higher cost NFT’s and only include ones where I see potential for gains in the near term. Floor prices are as of 7/21/22.
I’ll preface this article with a “DYOR” and an “NFA” combo, and also mention that this is a very subjective list and is probably different for everyone. My motivation is to flip my way into progressively better NFT’s that I eventually hold for at least a little while and sell higher. My main motivation is to grow my Ethereum stack, that’s it.
All that being said, let’s dive into this!
Did I lose you to boredom already? It’ll get more interesting in a minute. The Premint Collector Pass is an interesting play. Run by some of the sharpest folks in the NFT space and the undisputed leader in NFT allow list tracking. Tons of cool features, lots of stuff in the pipeline to look forward to, and if we trend back into and NFT Bull Market, these are going to be super desirable as I think the whitelist/allow list wave comes roaring back with it! Buy it to use it or buy it to flip it, I think there’s a play to be had either way.
Chimpers is a play that has gotten much more intriguing with the recent news of the “Dojo” coming into play. Basically, a staking component with potential for rewards the longer you have your chimp staked. Chimpers never really got the run they deserved. The art, pixelated as it may be, it pretty good, the collection size at 5,555 is in the sweet spot, and there are a lot of big names that hold Chimpers. As of this writing, roughly 10% for sale is all. !CHIMP
This may be the longer hold play of the group. But 10 ETH floor seems like a steal for the NFT with direct ties to Nike, Fewocious, Atari and others. Less than 7% listed, the top holders are all in whale wallets and they aren’t going anywhere. If you can afford to get in, and you have more patience than I do, this might be a good play.
CyberBrokers deserves better. The art itself is unique and also completely on-chain. CB’s ran up to almost 8 ETH at their peak, but came back to earth really fast. They’ve been hovering around the 2 ETH mark for what seems like an eternity. Tons of Diamond Handed holders, only about 5% listed and the floor is super thin should a large wallet get ambitious enough to start loading up. This one seems to have been coiling up for a move upwards for quite a while.
This may be the best entry point we’ll see into the BAYC ecosystem. Bored Apes are out of reach for most NFT collectors, but Mutants are somewhat affordable in comparison. With peak bull run highs close to 40 ETH or more, it really only takes one announcement, or just market sentiment in general, for Mutants to start ripping upwards. Whether you hold it to be in the “cool kids club” or whether you try to flip it, opportunities and benefits either way.
Seems silly not to include Otherside with the demo they just pulled off, the Yuga team working on this seemingly around the clock; and honestly, the intrigue behind not really knowing how it’s all going to play out. I think there are plays for both land and Kodas, but I think we see a dip in both as the game is slow developing. You could also miss an opportunity if you wait too long. This one is on my radar to potentially snag something soon.
What a fantastic unfolding of events and build up of lore behind Goblintown. My vote for one of, if not the best stories in NFT’s this year. From a free mint to almost a 10 ETH floor at one point, dropping bergers (1.35 floor), crushing NFTNYC and kicking off a #FreeMint meta that we haven’t really seen to this point.
Also of note, Illuminati, the flagship project of Truth Labs, has seen a huge come up since the announcement that they were behind the Goblins. Not to mention teasers from the Truth Labs team of additional projects to come, Kryptic Kids being one, and a rumored project that is “older than Punks.” These guys have proven themselves as a leader in the NFT space and I think there’s plenty of upside here.
Here’s a potential non-mainstream sleeper pick. Killabears are dope! The collection is only 3,333 pieces and currently only about 500 listed. These are animated NFT’s which is normally not that great, but they have a lot going on from raffles, additional drops, staking and a coin all in the works. I’m not going to pretend to know more than that about them, but I like these for a potential flip if they catch some heat.
Yes Azuki. And Yes #2 on the list. All the controversy seems to be in the rear view. The level of FUD and hate Azuki received for the space of a few weeks when news of Zagabond’s past came out would have killed any other project.
I love how these are hanging on, the team is strong (outside of Zagabond and maybe even including Zagabond), still have a kung-fu grip on the double digit floor price, the art is also amazing. I also recently heard that they have a strong foothold in the Asian community as well. I’m watching these super closely for an entry point and potentially another return to glory north of 30 ETH. Hate it if you want.
Yes, I have fully drunk the Kool-Aid here. This is article is dropping post-Oddities reveal, love them or hate them Oddities were free to holders. That’s anywhere from a 1.5-3.5 ETH gain wherever you sold them. But back to Moonbirds, there are only 62 Moonbirds listed for sale! Insanity to have only that many listed.
Also looking at nesting stats, 97% of Moonbirds are currently nested. Also 97% of Moonbirds have achieved a Bronze nest and holder distribution is still fantastic north of 6,500 unique holders. With potential for more airdrops, talk of the upcoming Highrise project and the leadership behind the proof brand, I have a feeling there’s a big run in the making where 50 ETH may be the benchmark we shoot for.
Full Disclosure: I hold one Moonbird and 2 Illuminati. The rest I have none or have exited in the past.
That’s my list, hit me with the feedback, the hate, the praise, whatever you got. Give me a follow on Twitter and let’s hear it! My DMs are open.
