How Does Grass Work?
At times, there’s internet bandwidth that we’re not using when streaming, browsing, gaming, etc. Running a node on Grass allows the protocol to use the unused portions of your internet connection. Unused bandwidth is a precious resource that AI labs want to train their models. AI companies that purchase access to the Grass network can go online to view public websites and scrape AI data. How to Earn Grass Points?
The first question on people’s minds is “Will there be a token?” The answer is: we don’t really know. At the time of this article, there has been no official mention of any token and/or airdrop. Be aware that information is pure speculation. The second question is “Am I too late?” The answer is no as of February! The full rewards haven’t been finished, so you can start earning points today. Grass points are the reward system for contributing to the company’s growth. These points can be earned by downloading and running Grass, referring new users or reaching certain milestones within the Grass ecosystem.
To set up a Grass account, follow these four simple steps:

- Download the chrome extension at the top of the page
- Register with an email and create an account
- Connect to your network and continue browsing
After completing these steps you should be ready to go!
Tiers
Grass has a tiered points system ranging from Iron (tier I) to Titan (tier X). Your tier depends on referrals or points earned and tiers allow you to earn bonus points. It’s important to note the base rate of earnings will remain the same for everyone. The app’s dashboard displays the requirements or you can read it in one of their blogs.
Epoch System
The epoch system is used for points tracking in order to pay out rewards. The epoch system displays points on the dashboard and will be zeroed out monthly. You can check your previous rewards or the current reward period under the “rewards” tab. Your points accumulate from past months until launch.
Multiple Grass Accounts Policy
The Grass network is programmed to detect abuse activity. So, if you’re planning to try and run multiple accounts on the same device or network, then do so at your own risk. System manipulation gets your account flagged and zeroed out. If you have multiple users (sibling(s), significant other, etc.) on the same IP, then your earnings are distributed among all the devices.
