With much of the project still under wraps, @Ether is an upcoming NFT project from the iconic NFT artist, @VisionOfVIII. Set to launch in the first quarter of 2023 this is a highly anticipated mint.
Ether NFT Collection – What we know so far
Ether is a 10k PFP collection with 350+ traits and over 50 billion distinct combinations. Co-founded by C Valley and VisionofVII, the project draws inspiration heavily from anime and dragons.
The artwork for the Ether collection exhibit solid and distinctive attributes that are reminiscent of Japanese anime. The speculation is that there will be numerous characters with unique and eye-catching traits from the beginning.
Interestingly, amongst the 10k NFTs is a surprise. Five of these anime characters are exceptionally rare and unique. Holding one of the unique NFTs will enable the user to be a part of the project’s entire lifetime – this includes any planned future anime releases.
It started as a simplistic artistic endeavour, but VIII, the founder and artist, wanted to give his work a greater meaning. According to the project’s discord, it has been touted that a portion of the project’s funding will be allocated to a charity or event that supports local communities in following their ideas to assert that.
Project Ether also guarantees they will plant a tree each time someone buys a piece. According to VIII himself, the goal of Project Ether was to aid as many people as possible.
Ether is one of the handfuls of NFT projects like goblintown.wtf that has experienced organic social growth. Although there have been some noticeable bumps along the way, its Twitter and Discord growth patterns indicate a consistent climb. Twitter followers and Discord members swarm in their thousands and are buzzing with activity.
At the time of writing the article, the project has around 76.3K followers on Twitter and 19.1K members on Discord.
Mint Details
Not much is public regarding the mint. We do know that the mint public mint price is 1 ETH and that 8k of the 10k NFTs will be up for public sale. The remaining 1750 pieces are reserved for the allowlist and 250 for the treasury. Moreover, the price of the whitelisted wallets will be 50% of the public mint. There is also an option for a free mint with a time lock.
A lucky few (who were selected by the founders) and those that got the correct answer in the ‘riddle’ last year (approximately 200) will also get allowlist spots. The riddle was a ‘secret’ community campaign in Discord that happened in 2022.
To get an allowlist spot, you have to contribute to the project. The opportunity might be still up for active contributors. Hachi, another Twitter account of the project, will DM the selected.
Hachi will also reward a Noble Stone to ten lucky members of the community. Noble Stone is an unrevealed collectible for the Ether NFT project.
Some popular projects might also get allowlist spots. As of now, Ether has given Treeverse 250 spots. These spots will be set aside for raffle to Timeless holders. It is not surprising, after all, VisionOfVII was the original artist of the Timeless collection. Timeless is a fantasy open-world MMORPG with a MOBA-style combat system.
