This week on Coffee with Captain was filled with the rollercoaster surrounding the Bitcoin ETF. The SEC was hacked, Bitcoin saw major price swings and we still don’t know what it means for crypto long term. We also featured another great group of guests. OnChainMonkeys, Pixel Vault, Killa Dinks, Gabe Weis and placeholder all made appearances on the show.
In case you missed any of the shows, below is a small recap of each day with links to the podcast on Apple and Spotify. Links to other streaming platforms can be found on our buzzsprout page. Check out the timestamp if you want to catch the specific interviews.
Monday
OnChainMonkey’s Defense Against Cap with Danny & Amanda
On Monday the Bitcoin ETF continued to loom and was seemingly imminent. Have you been positioning your assets for whatever may come? We also see Azuki’s main X account repost Weeb3 Foundation, driving speculation of its involvement in a potential token $ANIME. The Moonbirds also launched $talons marketplace, which was underwhelming out of the gate.
Later on the show OnChainMonkey team members Danny Yang and Amanda Terry appear on the show to address concerns from last Friday’s show. They share about the history of Metagood and the purpose of OCM on Bitcoin. Danny also gives a technical background, but is this information enough to ease the minds of current and future holders?

Wednesday
The SEC Hacked & Killa Dinks Brand
Wednesday opens with a moral dilemma from Steve about his Doodles’ purchase. This leads to a conversation about OpenSea’s outdated practices and continual fall as the dominant marketplace. The biggest news of the day was the SEC being hacked. Was this pure incompetence by the SEC or something more?
Later the Coffee Crew joined by @bbtntwrk to discuss Killa Dinks, a pickleball brand formed with Killa Bears IP. Listen in to hear the history and vision of Killa Dinks and how the father-son duo is building a family business together (1:23:35).

Thursday
Bitcoin ETF Approved + Anti-Stoics with Gabe Weiss
BattlePlan Season One gameplay has Cap hooked, which leads to a larger discussion over gaming. What makes a successful game, especially in the world of web3? The Bitcoin ETF was finally approved, but what does that mean? Will there be less volatility and what does future price action look like?
Later the Coffee Crew is joined by artist Gabe Weis, founder of The Stoics to speak about his newest venture. Gabe looks to comment on the news of the week through the launch of the Anti-Stoic Spectacle (ASS), in partnership with Nifty Gateway. Live listeners of Coffee with Captain will even have an opportunity to participate in the weekly piece! Learn more from Gabe’s post on X.

Friday
The Future of Bitcoin and TradFi
Friday’s downward movement on Bitcoin begs the question if the Bitcoin ETF approval was baked in. An increase in investment avenues for crypto gives access to more capital, but TradFi moves slow. So what are the short and long term plays? When will we see the upward move? The Coffee Crew talks Bitcoin, TradFi, and what large portfolio managers are likely doing with this new Bitcoin ETF approval. As Bitcoin shifts more mainstream, the long game becomes more important. And with all the focus on Bitcoin does Ethereum have a chance for a run up?
