On week 10 of Coffee with Captain we made sure the hat stays on! With the markets running memecoins are in full effect, so we had to talk about what it looked like trading them. Bitcoin ordinals won’t be denied in the market or on our show as we continue to dive in. We had an amazing group of special guests from multiple communities. Vrbs, MFers and Machi all came to discuss their specific ventures. We also had an amazing project supporting Autism stop by on Thursday! Check out what went on during the week.
In case you missed any of the shows, below is a small recap of each day with links to the podcast on Apple and Spotify. Links to other streaming platforms can be found on our buzzsprout page. Check out the timestamp if you want to catch the specific interviews.
Monday
Bitcoin Ordinals Won’t Be Denied
The Bitcoin ordinals ecosystem continues to boom as liquidity pours in. Are we due for a pullback and how will that affect the ordinals market? A barrier to entry still remains within ordinals and the user experience is awful, but the Coffee Crew believes there is money to be made. We also discuss not over-rotating positions to chase the next hot thing. Everything moves in a cycle and if you’re patient the wave will come back to you. Blindly following voices on X that shill you tokens is the quick way to get wrecked. Lastly, Cap is joining the Quirkies community in an advisory role. Shout out to Cap for the accomplishment.

Tuesday
Vrbs DAO Super Community
Ethereum mainnet transaction fees are starting to increase and it’s becoming more apparent that high frequency trading won’t survive there. In the previous cycle, Layer 2s were still working on infrastructure, but now there are many viable options for those who want to move smaller amounts of capital or high frequency trading. The Coffee Crew digs into Bitcoin, Ethereum and more.
Later, Vrbs DAO members Matt Halley, Rocketman and Blue joined the show. This is a fork of the Nouns DAO protocol that is starting to make some noise. They share a decentralized wallet, vote and execute on culture impacting ideas. Vrbs DAO wants to prove that the DAOs model can really work. They are focused on action and have a different voting structure from the Nouns DAO structure. It’s definitely worth checking out the interview at the very least.

Wednesday
Memecoin Season Led by DogWifHat
The memecoin revolution on Solana has been ignited by the iconic DogWifHat. People ask “how high can it go?” The simple answer for most is “higher.” As the bull starts to pick up, memecoins will have their day. The Coffee Crew discusses why you need to heavily look into memecoins right now.
Trading memecoins on Ethereum mainnet is painful because of the transaction costs. The Solana network has little costs so more people can move in and out. The size may be smaller, but the action is greater. Check out the show if you’re interested in learning about the memecoin streets. “The hat stays on!”

Thursday
The Power of NFT IP + MFers Enter Lowe’s for Round 2
We start the show with market talk followed by a look into NFT NYC later in April. It’s crazy to think the time is almost here. We also get the opportunity to hear from David B, the creator of For the Autistic by the Autistic. It’s a fantastic story about the power of IP and its ability to help those who are less fortunate. It’s only a small segment and definitely worth the listen. You can also search his X account and see the pinned post.
Later we’re joined by a couple of MFers, Matt and 0xS to talk about their latest product. They’re going round 2 in Lowe’s store after a successful impact by the web3. The community threw Lowe’s social media department for a loop as they wondered where all the MFer supporters were coming from. Let’s make the same type of impact.

Friday
The Digital Art Movement Token – $DAM
This show has a little bit of everything. The cold open has some random coffee talk blended with the Coffee Crew’s thesis on the current market direction. We again touch on ethereum NFTs and the high gas fees compared to the many other chains. Are ethereum NFTs oversold at this point? It seems to be reaching this level.
We also discuss a few ApeCoin DAO proposals. We’re joined by Machi to talk about the Digital Art Movement token ($DAM), as AIP-304 passed for 11 million ApeCoin. The AIP is meant to curate a collection of notable NFTs, both in the Yuga ecosystem and elsewhere to increase the awareness of ApeCoin’s cultural influence on digital art. There is no allocation of tokens for the team and the DAO members aren’t getting paid. The only way to attain $DAM is by staking ApeCoin. Give the episode a listen to learn more about the reasoning.
