Claynosaurz Gameloft Partnership + DeGods’ Memecoin Move
DeGods created a new memecoin, $degod, in partnership with Sol Sniper. Holders can swap their DeGods or burn their y00ts for tokens. The community seems happy, but there are concerns about the project’s frequent pivots. Personally, I don’t really love the move, but Frank listens to his community.
Cab and Andrew from Claynosaurz joined the Coffee Crew to discuss their collaboration with Gameloft for a new mobile game. My take? This partnership is bigger than I initially thought. Claynosaurz’s animation expertise (13 Collision Awards!) combined with Gameloft’s mobile gaming experience could be a game-changer. Their approach of not identifying as a web3 company but utilizing blockchain where it makes sense is intriguing. Claynosaurz were asked why they didn’t use a web3 native gaming company, but generally those are startups. The scale at which Claynosaurz were looking to move required a bigger type of company. These types of partnerships with web2 companies provide a cosign to people outside the web3 ecosystem.

Rug Radio’s Farokh Interviews Trump + Chocolate Born in Web3
Farokh and Rug Radio achieved a major milestone by interviewing Donald Trump on X spaces, attracting 1.2 million listeners. Steve sees this as a win for X spaces and crypto, noting Trump’s apparent understanding of the space as a whole. It’s also interesting that his sons have a deeper understanding of the space, which is always beneficial when learning about crypto/web3.
For Made by ApeCoin Mondays (on Tuesday this week), the Coffee Crew welcomed Grateful Ape and Tino, who shared their journey of launching a chocolate brand and dabbling in apparel. Their story of bootstrapping a product for NFT Lisbon and expanding to major e-grocery stores is impressive. One of their main goals was to make sure people from web2 don’t even care if there is something web3 related. They wanted people to love the product and the story.
We also touched on the Flyfish Club’s settlement with the SEC. While Cap wished they had fought back, Steve raised an interesting point about the possible failure of their business model. I’m not sure which side I land on, but I understand

The Doodleverse Expands with Rubik’s Partnership
Doodles announced a collaboration with Rubik’s Cube, creating packs with rare wearables and a 21.37-carat Diamond Cube. Julian and Austin joined the Coffee Crew to share details and recount TIFF. There were some of the biggest studio executives in the world at TIFF. They were blown away at the sentiment of Doodles’ holders. It models proof of fandom and the benefits in participating in the Doodles community.
Austin’s comment that “mints are the new likes” stuck with me. It highlights how blockchain allows brands like Doodles to track and reward user participation in ways traditional social media can’t. This Rubik’s partnership seems like a clever way to expand the Doodleverse and engage their community. “The Legend of The Rubikron” is Doodles’ first-ever digital comic, a thrilling prequel to Captain Stoke’s adventures in Dullsville and the Doodleverse.

Apemobile AIP Debate + Dookey Dash’s Golden Plunger
The passing of the Apemobile AIP sparked a little bit of a debate. Cap sees value in putting ApeCoin DAO funds to use, which Steve agrees with. However, Steve still views it as a poor marketing strategy because of the lack of impact he believes it’ll make. Steve didn’t vote on the AIP because he believed it wouldn’t pass. It’s a reminder of the importance of community participation in DAO decisions.
Baron provided the Coffee Crew with an Ape Ecosystem Update, focusing on Dookey Dash: Unclogged. The introduction of Golden Plungers and the $1m Prize Pool tournament is generating excitement in the community. A lot of the details he saved for the community Apes space that would follow the show. He did voice his excitement about the upcoming game and shared why others should be excited too.

Dookey Dash Cracks Apple’s Top 10 Games + OpenAI’s Path to AGI
Dookey Dash breaking into Apple’s top 10 games is a monumental achievement for Yuga Labs and BAYC. They’re also working with pro gamers to stream gameplay to improve content creation. The Coffee Crew were already dropping ideas to improve the game in the X spaces comments section. It’s exciting to see web3 gaming gain mainstream traction.
Bunchu joined the Coffee Crew to discuss OpenAI’s roadmap to AGI and anything else going on in the AI world. The release of the Orion series, capable of human-level reasoning, is a significant step. These new models “think.” Responses take longer, but the model walks you through its thought process, which is a big step change in technique. Sam Altman says OpenAi will be at level three, AI agents, as early as the beginning of next year. I agree with Bunchu that everyone should be dedicating time to understand and experiment with AI. This isn’t going away, so staying informed is crucial.
